about storypraxis
Storypraxis is a literary experiment dedicated to helping people write creatively every day. Six days a week a daily writing prompt will be posted—most often just a short phrase or word, like "banana hands". Take ten minutes out of your day to write something, fiction or non-fiction, sparked by that prompt—banana hands—or whatever the prompt might be. Post your storypraxis on your blog or on facebook or wherever you'd like to. If you're nice and friendly you'll link to storypraxis to spread the word. In this manner, you contribute to the collective creativity of storypraxis regarding—just as an example—"banana hands".
You can also email your story according to these guidelines and see your work on the official storypraxis community blog. Posts to the community blog are also considered for weekly feature in the storypraxis magazine.
By submitting you retain all rights to your work but are freely posting this work on the storypraxis blog and/or magazine (and giving us permission to proofread it if selected for the magazine). If you ever want us to take it down, that's totally fine. We won't put up a fuss. Thanks for letting us borrow the fruit of your literary genius.
Remember: Perfection isn't the goal; creativity and story are. Don't write an epic tome nor should you be paralyzed by your inner editor. Just have fun.
